I have been playing golf on and off for the last 2 years and was suggested that if I really want to take it seriously I should get some lessons. So I went down to Tampa Bay for a 3 day golf lesson with Steve and Jeff from Florida golf school and I don’t regret it at all. They are both great golf coaches and really focus on what my swing really needed and the fundamentals of how to properly approach a golf shot. I highly recommend it. 10/10.

I've worked with several swing coaches and teachers over the past 20 years. I learned more about my golf swing and correcting my swing flaws in the 3 days I spent working with Steve. In addition to the school, I really enjoyed the 9-hole playing portion every afternoon. I've always struggled taking what I'm working on to the golf course. So much of the golfing and resort industry is a cash grab, and Florida Golf Schools are a 1000% not one of these. From the get go you get a husband and wife team that go out of their way to personalize the entire experience, even if it means sending you somewhere else! Cecilia made sure that my father and I got exactly what we wanted and needed. Alan, our pro, was the best at just enough lesson mixed with incredible first hand accounts of golf legends. He put us at ease as he put us through the ropes! I’ve been hitting the ball with a baby draw for the first time and show no signs of losing it.The hotel was perfect and we were treated like members at the course. Then the follow up, you know money has changed hands, everything is done and I’m still getting calls checking in about my golf game! If you want to seriously take the next step and get the red carpet treatment while you do it then FGS is the best place to go.P.S. They are even using their connections to help me plan next years trip which in no way involves them. Who does that?! I got friends who wouldn’t go through that trouble.

Had a rocky start but Jeff came through and Tim drove from 3 hours away to meet me for instruction. He was early too! Tim is a phenomenal teacher. Professional with decades of experience. He broke down my game and rebuilt my broken foundation. Still have a ways to go but the Florida Golf Schools and Tim in particular were the best thing I've done for my golf game in years. The 3 day school was great! Knowledgeable pro, Marc identified weaknesses in our swings, very quickly, and with a sequence of drills, had all of us hitting more solid shots.Marc brought swing aids on the second day to individualize the lessons. By the last day, all four of us were much more comfortable with our game.We’ll be back for a tune-up when needed.

We enrolled our 12 year old son in golf school over spring break. He loved it! Chris gave great feedback and useful lesson tips. Jeff (the owner) selected Chris for the golf lessons, and it was the perfect fit. This was something he clearly loved and is eager do again.-- Our son's favorite was when Chris sent us a training video while showing our son step-by-step on both video instructions the before and after golf swing. Our son attends a private school in the northeast. His school has a High School Golf team and our son is in middle school. By giving him this time to work with a Golf Pro at Florida Golf School-- it truly made a difference. Highly recommend!!!!

Had an awesome two days golf school at Saddlebrook Resort, Tampa.The two courses are awesome and the staff are very friendly.The setup for the golf school is excellent, working on the swing and all round game in the morning at the well maintained range and then afternoon on course tuition is literally game changing. Being able to talk through your shot selection and thought process and get pro feedback is priceless.I was fortunate to have two different instructors on my two day package, each bringing thanks Dale Shanklandeir own style but not at the expense of being overwhelmed.Each instructor had their own specialist area so I felt I was getting a bonus.So if you’re on the fence, just book it. The two days have changed so much in my game already and given me great takeaways to work on.Special mention to my coaches Alex Calcaterra and Dale Shankland for your wisdom and patience.

I booked a 2 hour lesson for short game wedges. Venue was older property, but not crowded on a Wednesday. Jeff, my instructor was punctual and attentive to my lesson objectives. He tailored the instructions to my preferences. I had read the course curriculum previously and it was spot on for my needs. I have had group lessons on short game with other notabl schools, but this 2 hours was way better. I’ve been provided class notes for future reference and a seemingly sincere offer to follow up should I have questions. While I’ve not yet practiced what I’ve learned nor applied it to the golf course, I’m pretty confident it’s going to be a huge help. So far, I give these folks an A+!

Whole package was a hole in one! Stayed at Sheraton Vistana in Orlando area. Stunning resort accommodations! John was an incredible instructor he diagnosed exactly what was wrong with my swing and what I needed to do to fix it.

I attended a 2 day golf school at Deer Creek. Colin was my pro and immediately had me correcting errors in my swing and relearning the fundamentals. We spent mornings at the range, putting green and the bunkers. Afternoons were playing out on the course along with my pro. It was a quality experience, well with the money and 2:1 student ratio. The next day after school I played one of my best rounds in a long time!

The golf instructor, Steve, did an excellent job of breaking down my swing and correcting my faults. He was patient when I got frustrated at trying to learn something new. He took many videos to give me so that I can remember what I learned. We went out on the course, where he gave me course management advice and worked on my swing some more. And he is highly entertaining as well. I got about 20 hours of instruction in three days and enjoyed all of it! As for the Sandpiper Bay Resort, ignore the negative reviews from the past. The new owners are putting a lot of work into the place and it shows. The rooms are out of date but serviceable. They are scheduled to all be renovated over the next year and then should be great. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The food was very good and unlimited. There are many activities other than golf at the resort, such as tennis, swimming, boating, exercise classes, massage, etc. It's an excellent place to stay. Overall, this was a terrific experience and once I absorb Steve's lessons, I could drop my handicap even more.

I enjoyed a two day golf school with Alex Calcaterra over the Thanksgiving weekend. Not only was Alex precise in understanding what I was doing but within minutes of watching me swing he offered suggestions that made for much better contact with the ball and was really clear in describing what I needed to do. Clearly describing what makes for a good golf swing is not something many people can do. Otherwise, wouldn’t people just do it?! Alex was also interested in making sure I understood what I needed to do so that my swing becomes second nature and doesn’t dissolve into my old bad habits. And we spent some time on chipping and putting technique also which was so helpful. And Alex provided me with three videos of mebefore and after swing, video of a Spanish tour player compared with me side by side and video of me, side by side with Rory McIlroy. My new swing thought is across and around my chest. Not only was I impressed with how skilled and patient a teacher Alex is but also I was delighted with how much Alex seems to enjoy what he’s doing. I’ll be back for more lessons with Alex for sure!

Just finished two days with Steve Pereira from Florida Golf Schools. Steve helped me to understand my game and how I could be a better golfer. He reconstructed my swing and shots, gave me insightful keys to improve my swing. He was funny yet really worked me hard to understand how to improve my game. We worked on every aspect, short shots, driver, sand, putter while stressing easy to remember keys.In addition he shot video of me executing the correct alignment, takeaway and finish.This was money well spent. Thee full days a week for seven weeks at three different courses with three top pros!My sons game improved tremendously!I can’t say enough about Jeff and his colleagues. I’m using my wife’s email because I don’t have a Google account .I have been playing golf seriously since 2015 with bad habits. Never took a lesson and was stubborn to even try.Then I was gifted a 2 day workshop with Jeff.Jeff was a great teacher and basically changed my entire game in 2 days.From chipping to pitching And putting to iron play he was informative very hands on most important very patient.I highly recommend him to anyone that needs direction.

Recently started playing golf within the past year. My swing tends to miss (slice) right but through the instruction I received I now not only hit the ball straight but know how to draw and fade a ball. I also used to hit the ground before the ball and don’t have that problem anymore. We also worked on our short game, and not only did I learn the basics but also more advanced concepts that make the game easier for everyone. I had a great experience and will recommend to anyone looking for professional instruction.

Outstanding experience. A trip for four golfers to celebrate one's 50th birthday. A range of golf skills, but we all benefited from -- and enjoyed -- Coach Marc's expertise, his instruction style, and his company over three days of golf and general fun. Daily instruction and drills in the morning, followed by lunch and afternoon time on the course with Marc, where his earlier instruction and in-real-time coaching steered us toward much better scores than we'd started out with. After some time absorbing and reinforcing this trip's lessons, a future trip is something I'll consider, too.

Four of us spent a weekend with Jeff who was outstanding in helping us learn, improve and diagnose our game. He thoughtfully balances the needs and techniques to improve ones game while recognizing the need for all players to stay within their needs and abilities. The facility was excellent and Jeff kept us on pace for range and on course instruction but made sure that everyone in the group received the individual attention needed. Everyone found immediate improvement before departing his school.

Jeff was great. He was easy informative & kept things fun. My only comment is that I went w/ 3 other friends & I think it was unfair to Jeff to have to split his time in 4 ways. To get the most out of your time & mostly the on course playing time keep it to 2/1 or at most 3/1 ratio. Again that is on us not at all Jeff & Florida Golf School. Met Jeff Carreira a few months ago. Been getting instructions from many "instructors" who have either made my game worse or just not better. After only 1 instruction from Jeff, I have finally improved my game to where I am feeling much more comfortable with my swing. All it took was a couple small tweaks with my swing that he noticed straight away. Man what a difference it's made. I'm getting birdies instead of snowmen. Thanks Jeff, you truly know your stuff and are a fantastic instructor.A hole in one for my bucket list is actually possible now.

A great experience from the ground-up- after 20 years of sub-par golf, I now have the tools to progress and perform shots in a consistent manner from the correction of basic grip techniques to putting and chipping. This 3 day program has given me knowledge to play golf with confidence from now on!! I discovered Florida Golf Schools while searching for destination golf training to escape the cold for a few days. I have struggled with an over the top swing for years and just recently have started over rotating causing swaying and major hooking of the ball. Jeff was very experienced and I enjoyed how he was able to watch me hit a few balls and be able to tell me exactly what we needed to work on. We hit lots of balls at the range in the morning followed by a practice round of golf after lunch. There are no sand bunkers on my home course so I have only hit out of sand once or twice. Jeff had me looking like a pro and made it easy to learn but more importantly to remember. I am very excited to take my new swing home and practice hitting lots of balls to make it a new “consistent” swing. Jeff is a great teacher, a great person, and made this trip 100% worth it.Thanks so much for your time and everything that you do. I wish the best for you and your business!Grant

I asked two of my friends who relocated to Cape Coral recenly to join me for 2 day camp. It was a first time taking this kind of lessons for all of us. My wife and I took 3 day lesson with Jeff 2 weeks ago. He was very patient, mild mannered and listened to our golf concerns.After watching us swing for a few minutes, he made simple adjustments to our swings without totally changing everything about our swings.Simple adjustments in footwork, club position and follow thru made tremendous improvement immediately. Major key was shoulder to shoulder rotation.Obviously, practice practice practice is the key…But at least we know proper way to practice.Looking forward to follow up lessons with Jeff in future.Thx Jeff for great 3 day school.

Just spent a wonderful 2 days with my 3 girlfriends working on our golf game. We are all at different levels, and Jeff met each of us at our individual skill level. It was awesome! My one friend is brand new to the game and he had her hitting drives in the air, down the middle of the fairway by day 2. I can't wait to go home and play some more golf. We will definitely be back! Myself and 2 friends took a 3 day course with instructor Jeff at Legacy Golf Club in Sarasota in Feb. 2022. Worked on short, long, mental part of the game and course management. Have been playing golf for 35 years and about a 13 handicap and learned more in the first 3 hours than I have in the last 10 years.Jeff is a very professional, highly knowledgeable and incredibly patient teacher. Was very impressed how he could very quickly breakdown everyone’s swing and find a way to communicate concepts simply and clearly to 3 individuals with very different levels of experience.The experience exceeded my expectation and I will be back for more sessions.

A last minute trip, but the arrangements were easy thanks to Jeff and Carreira at Florida Golf Schools.I wanted a two day school for me and my wife. We are very different golfers but our Pro, Alan Clack, was just perfect for us!We not only learned valuable technical info about our individual golf swings and ways to improve, but had a great time with Alan, both on and off the course. The 9 hole playing lesson each afternoon was just great, and complemented the morning driving range and short game lessons and practice.The only negative was the “tired” Saddlebrook Resort… but hopefully the recent acquisition by Troon will result in the necessary upgrades.All in all, a great experience and excellent value for the money as well.Looking forward to doing it again next year!Steve JacobsFt Lauderdale, FL

My son and I are total golf neophytes. We have never really played before, nor have we ever taken any lessons. Florida golf schools took this into consideration, treated us well, and taught us at our level. We had a lot of fun, learned the fundamentals and really felt like we progressed in our 3 days here. We will definitely be back. We are hoping this will turn into a yearly father-son tradition. I would recommend Florida golf school for anyone. Also, Saddlebrook Resort was completely relaxing and a beautiful place and our instructor, Earl, was wonderful.

I wasn't sure what to expect and was a little nervous until I met Pat & Jeff who welcomed us when we arrived. I wanted to improve my golf game and that definitely happened! Patient, professional instructors worked with us on short game, irons, driving, putting, game management - the whole enchilada. We were a very diverse group - both age and skill-wise. We each received instruction according to our abilities. We played golf every day after class, which gave us an opportunity to take what we learned to the course. One thing that surprised me was that, virtually everything is optional. If you decide you'd like to sit out a class - no problem! There are some fun and interesting times in the classroom, too. The whole team is fun to be with and genuinely interested in helping you improve and have a good time doing it. I should also mention that I shopped long and hard for a school that would fit my needs AND my budget. Cost wasn't the only consideration but, it was certainly a factor. This golf school seemed to offer good deal for the price. I like a bargain and Florida Golf Schools proved to be an outstanding value and better than I hoped on every level. I plan to return. I'm older, I have a different game now but I'm confident that they'll be able to help me continue to improve. I can't recommend these folks enough! Try 'em; you won't be disappointed.

We attended the Florida Golf School at Amelia Island, and it surpassed our expectations in every way! We were so pleased with the personal and customized instruction. Our pros would tailor their feedback to each individual, so as to facilitate the development of an optimal swing for each golfer.
